On February 23 and 24, 2022, the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário de São João, led by its Director, Professor Guilherme Macedo, welcomed the visit of Professor Benedetto Mangiavillano, Head of Digestive Endoscopy at the Italian Hospital Humanitas Mater Domini and an international expert in EUS, LAMS and ERCP procedures.

Under the guidance of Prof. Mangiavillano, an international specialist in Hot Spaxus self-expanding endoscopic prostheses from Taewoong Medical, an ECODANUSA representative, Prof. Susana Lopes successfully carried out the 1st Hot Spaxus case in Portugal. Congratulations to the medical and nursing team at CHSJ and, of course, to the Ecodanusa team, which bridged the gap between Professors Macedo and Mangiavillano, thus opening up new possibilities in a service of excellence and a national benchmark!
